Available Models
The 2009 Ford F-150 is offered in seven models this year - the XL, XTX, XLT, FX4, Lariat, King Ranch and the F-150 Platinum the most luxurious F-150 to date.

Several packages are available such as the Cargo Management Accessory Package, SFE Package, XLT Chrome Package, Lariat Chrome Package, Trailer Tow Package, Max Trailer Tow Package, Heavy Duty Payload Package, Snow Plow Prep Package and many interior packages.

Interior Features
The F-150 seats up to six depending on which cab and seating arrangements are picked. Regular cabs seat three, the SuperCab and SuperCrew seat five or six.
Depending on the model several of Ford's hottest features such as SYNC in-car voice activated communications and entertainment system or a navigation radio with in-dash screen and DVD Rom are available.

Exterior Features
When properly equipped the F-150 offers a cargo capacity of 65.5 cubic feet - the most in its segment. Several available features include a box side step to help gain access to the front of the box when not in use the step stows under the box, a stowable bed extender, and a tailgate step.

A huge array of wheels is available to customize the F-150 - from 17" to 20".

Performance
Standard on the XL, STX and XLT is a 4.6L 2V V8 engine with electronic 4-speed automatic transmission - optional on these models is a 4.6L 3V V8 engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard on all other models and available on the XL and XLT is a 5.4L 3V V8 engine with 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Ford-150 offers the most towing capability in its segment and offers many features with towing in mind such as --- AdvanceTrac with RSC, trailer sway control, an integrated trailer brake controller, tow haul mode and an available reverse camera system.

Safety and Security
The passenger safety cage has been re-engineered for 2009 and is made with ultra-high-strength and high-strength steels. Several airbags are standard on the Ford F-150 including dual stage driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags and Safety Canopy® side curtain airbags.
